Find the right first step for your garden and kitchen

A herb corner, a patch of saffron, a shelf of homemade blends — each service stands on its own. Have a browse, compare at your leisure, and ask us anything along the way.

The lineup

One for each stage of the garden year

Our three services follow the same path a harvest does: from deciding what to grow, to planting a slow crop, to turning what you've gathered into seasoning.

  • Starting from scratch? The herb bed consultation is the gentlest beginning.
  • Curious about saffron? The planting session runs from late August to September.
  • Already harvesting? The spice craft workshop gives your crop somewhere to go.

If you're torn, just write. We'll tell you honestly which one fits — or whether waiting a season makes more sense.

Value & investment

Where your yen goes

Prices are shown in Japanese yen and cover everything listed for each service: our time, preparation, written materials, and — for the planting session and workshop — the corms, ingredients and jars.

Think of it less as a purchase and more as setting up something that keeps giving. Perennial herbs return, saffron corms multiply, and the skills from a single afternoon carry into years of cooking.

Home visits inside Miyazaki City carry no travel charge. Farther out, we agree any travel cost with you in writing beforehand, or you can choose an online session at the same price. Prices are in yen and the written confirmation states the final amount including consumption tax; payment details are confirmed in that same message, before anything is booked.

Before you decide

Can I book more than one service?

Of course. Many people start with a consultation in spring, plant saffron in late summer and join a workshop once harvests come in. There's no need to book them together.

Have I missed saffron for this year?

If it is already October or later, for planting, yes; the corm window closes in September. You're welcome to reserve a place for next late summer, and in the meantime the consultation or workshop can be booked any month.

What if I need to change the date?

Just tell us as early as you can. We'll find another time together; the details are in our terms.

Is the workshop suitable if I have food allergies?

Please let us know beforehand. Sesame, nori and some spices are used, and we can often adjust the blends or set aside separate tools.

Found a drawer that interests you?

Send us a short note with the service you're curious about and a word or two about your space. We'll reply with dates and any questions — nothing is booked until you say so.
