Terms & Conditions
The agreement between you and Saffron Field Haven once a booking is confirmed: payment, changes, liability and which law applies.
Contracting party
Saffron Field Haven 3-10-5 Tachibanadori-nishi, Miyazaki, Miyazaki 880-0001, Japan Phone: +81 985-70-4220 Email: info@saffronfieldhaven.comAbout this agreement
These Terms & Conditions apply when you book one of our services and when you use saffronfieldhaven.com. They work together with the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and the Commercial Transactions Notice. Please read them before you confirm a booking.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under Japanese law. Where a clause conflicts with a mandatory rule, the rule prevails.
Your obligations
- 1. ConductPlease treat guests and our team courteously and follow safety instructions during a session, especially around heat and tools. We may end a session without refund if behaviour makes it unsafe or unpleasant for others.
- 2. Honest informationGive accurate contact details and, for a workshop, tell us in advance about food allergies. Please do not send other people's personal information without their consent.
- 3. Your own spaceYou are responsible for following any rules that apply to your garden, balcony or building, such as management-association limits on planters or watering.
- 4. MisuseDo not resell or republish our materials, interfere with the website or use it to send unsolicited advertising.
- 5. AgeA booking requires you to be 18 or older. Guests under 18 join a workshop only with a parent or guardian present.
- 6. Third partiesWhat you buy from other suppliers, such as pots, soil or seed, is a matter between you and that supplier.
Payment, changes and cancellation
-
7. Booking and price
- A booking is confirmed when we send you written confirmation of the service, date, place and price.
- Prices are in Japanese yen as shown on the Offers page. The confirmation states the final amount including consumption tax.
- The website takes no payments. The confirmation names the payment method and the date it is due.
-
8. Changing the date
- Up to three days before the session, you may move it once or cancel it at no charge.
- Between three days and 48 hours before, you may move it once at no charge, but a cancellation may be charged for materials already bought.
- Less than 48 hours before, or if you do not attend, we may keep up to 50% of the price to cover materials and preparation.
-
9. If we change or cancel
If we have to cancel or move a session, you may choose a new date or a full refund of what you paid. This applies to illness, severe weather, transport disruption and other causes on our side.
For the saffron session, a new date can only be in the next planting season if the corm window has closed.
-
10. If something is wrong with what we supplied
Tell us within 30 days if a plan or calendar does not fit your space, and we will revise it at no extra charge. If your corms do not flower in the first autumn and the corms themselves turn out to be at fault, we replace them for the following season, as described on the saffron session page.
Responsibility
- 11. ResultsPlants depend on weather, soil and care that we cannot control. We do not promise a yield, a flowering date or a particular result from any advice.
- 12. Limit of liabilityTo the extent the law allows, our total liability for a service is limited to the amount you paid for it. This does not apply to loss caused by intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not permit a limit.
- 13. Indirect lossExcept in cases of intent or gross negligence, we are not liable for indirect loss such as lost income or plants lost to later weather.
- 14. Events beyond controlEarthquakes, typhoons, epidemics, transport failures and government orders may delay or prevent a session. We offer a new date or a refund of anything not delivered.
- 15. AllergiesWe take care over ingredients and tools, but we cannot guarantee that a workshop is free from traces of sesame, nuts or other allergens. You decide whether to attend based on what you have told us.
- 16. SeverabilityIf one clause turns out to be invalid, the others stay in force.
Law, disputes and changes
These terms are governed by Japanese law. If a dispute cannot be settled between us, the Miyazaki District Court is the court of first instance, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights.
If something goes wrong, contact us first through the contact page or at info@saffronfieldhaven.com. We reply within five working days and try to settle the matter in good faith. You may also ask your local consumer affairs centre (shohi seikatsu senta) for advice.
We may revise these terms. The updated date appears at the top, and revisions do not apply to bookings already confirmed in writing.
